March 15

Staff  Absent: M. Song, G. Coy, & E. Crump ˝ pm.

 

We will have our next FCA/UNITE meeting this Thursday March 18 from 3:15 to 4:15 in my room.  Please let Mr. Perkins know by Tuesday if you plan on attending. 

Girls Softball pictures will be taken tomorrow, Tuesday at school. You need to bring your uniform.

 

The regular scheduled board meeting for March will be on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - 7:00 p.m. 

The first 4 ˝ weeks has ended and we will be printing progress reports on Monday, March 15th.  All grades need to be posted no later than 5pm on Friday, March 12th. 

The first 9 weeks will end on March 31st.  All grades need to be posted no later than Friday, April 2nd by 3:30pm. 

We will print report cards and give them to homerooms to pass out on Monday, April 5th. 

Buzz's Bargains has left an assortment of books in the high school office and everyone is welcome to come and check it out.

 

Do Not send students to the nurse unless you believe they are genuinely sick or are taking prescription meds.

 

The IEP Progress Monitoring Training scheduled for April 2nd at the board office has been cancelled.

 

Beta club will meet Thursday from 3:15 – 4:00 in room 111.

ETS Students:  Stop by the guidance office to pick up a permission sheet for your trip on March 31. 

After Prom permission forms are now available in the YSC.  If you are interested in going please stop by and get a form.  If you are taking an outsider make sure to pick up a form for them too.  Prom outsider money is due by March 18th.

Seniors going on the Senior trip-Mrs. Golden is taking up an order for t-shirts for the trip.  If you would like to order one they are $10.  Come by the YSC to see the design and place your order.

Spring pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, March 16.

All faculty and staff need to have pictures taken for next year’s ID badges.  You will receive the spring package free of charge if you have your picture taken on this day. 

The following will have pictures taken:

Students 9-12—only if they want to purchase a spring package

Sports:  Baseball, Softball, Track & Field,==all pre-pay

Clubs:  Academics, Journalism, Upward Bound, ETS, WIA, WES,

 If I have missed your club or you want a re-take of group photo, just let me know ASAP.

SENIORS:  Applications for the Billy Cornett Memorial Scholarship are available in the guidance office and online.  The deadline is April 30, 2010.

Johnson will introduce you to the basics of how to create better images no matter what type of camera you own.  In this class, you will learn what those buttons on your camera do, learn photography tips and photography terminology so you can take your love of photography to a new level.  This class is free but is limited to 20 students.  The class will be held each Thursday in March at 6:30pm at Botts Elementary School.  For more information or to register for this class, please call 768-8011.    

The Community Education Office will begin offering free Zumba classes every Monday and Thursday night beginning March 22nd.  Monday night classes will be held in the Menifee Elementary gym and Thursday night classes will be held in the Botts Elementary gym.  Both classes will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.  You do not need to register for these classes.  Please do not bring young children to these classes, participants only need to attend.  Please bring a towel and water to every class.  For more information, please call 768-8011.

Boys Basketball players that are planning on going to State Tournament on Friday need to pick up a permission form from Mr. Adkins and have it returned by Thursday afternoon.

Sunday 2-4 Boys soccer open gym in the high school, must have shin guards and tennis shoes.

The Jason Lovins Band will be playing at Botts Church on Wednesday, March 24th at 6:30 p.m.        

 

All FCCLA members going on the state meeting trip need to meet in Mrs. Crump's room after school on Wednesday, March 24th until 4:30 pm. Please arrange to be picked up no later than 4:30.
