Menifee County School District COVID-19 Update #4

Posted March 20, 2020

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update # 4 from Menifee County Schools

Teachers & Staff,

The Menifee County Schools will follow the recommendation of Governor Andy Beshear to extend no in-person classes through Friday, April 17th.  Our schedule for the next four weeks will include an additional 10 Non-Traditional Instructional Days (NTI) plus 5 days of Spring Break.

Our schedule will be as follows:

  • March 23rd-March 27th- NTI Days #4-#8
  • March 30th-April 3rd- NTI Days #9-#13
  • April 6th-April 10th- Spring Break
  • April 13th-April 17th- NTI Days #14-#18

We will be announcing additional NTI information on Monday, March 23rd.

We will continue providing meals to our students during the duration of the recommended school closure.  Please reference our school district website and Facebook account for food deliveries, which will begin on Monday, March 23rd, 2020 for our students.

All planned school events, trips, and athletic games/practices will be cancelled during this time period, including Spring Break.

All facilities will be closed to students during this time period.

Because the situation with COVID-19 is continually evolving, changes to this plan may become necessary.  Please follow the Menifee County Schools website and Facebook account for updates and additional information as it becomes available.

Once again, my main goals, to the best of my ability, are to protect the health of this community, to make sure our students receive meals, and to provide an opportunity for our students to receive educational services through our NTI program.

Thank you for all you are doing to support your staff, students and families.

Sincerely,

Timothy D. Spencer
Superintendent
