MSU Talent Search Students
place 1st in State
& 2nd at National TRIO Day Competition
A group of 7th-12th grade Talent Search students participated in the High Q and Academic Bowl competition held on TRIO Day, February 22nd at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. TRIO Day is an annual academic competition for students who are served in federally funded college access programs which include Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Student Support Services. The Talent Search program at Morehead State University currently serves students in 6th-12th grade in a 12 county service region. The MSU Talent Search Teams competed against other Talent Search students from across the state.

Both middle and high school teams were honored with receiving 1st place at the state competition! They then moved on to represent Kentucky at the SAEOPP National Competition in Atlanta, GA on April 5th, where the high school team placed 2nd and the middle school team placed 3rd in Written Exam. The entire Talent Search staff is very proud of all of our students for participating and taking time to represent MSU Talent Search!
