  • School Closings/Delays:

    The Menifee County Schools will follow the recommendation of Governor Andy Beshear to extend no in-person classes through Friday, April 17th.  Our schedule for the next four weeks will include an additional 10 Non-Traditional Instructional Days (NTI) plus 5 days of Spring Break. 

    Our schedule will be as follows:

    ·         March 23rd-March 27th- NTI Days #4-#8

    ·         March 30th-April 3rd- NTI Days #9-#13

    ·         April 6th-April 10th- Spring Break

    ·         April 13th-April 17th- NTI Days #14-#18

Biology is the study of living things.  This course has two main components; Ecology and Cellular Biology.  Ecology covers topics under the scope of environmental science.  Topics will be presented that will enable students to understand how all living things interact with each other and their environments.  Students will study the diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles on Earth.  In addition they will learn about evolution and classifications of living organisms.  Cellular biology deals with cells and the molecular processes of all plants and animals. Students will acquire knowledge of cell structure and function as well as genetics and heredity.  Students will acquire practical scientific skills in which they can use to investigate, study, and explain the world around them.
